It has been a while since the last update and a lot has changed for me. For now I want to share my latest model drawing sketches with you. The Breda SketchSession of this month was all about the medieval assasin.

A strategy in images

Last December the UCE group of Industrial design asked me to create visuals for their strategy day as a nice and useful memorabilia. Together with Nicky Liebregts I doodled away, listening to all the interesting conversations. Many of the core topics of this strategy day found their way into this visual collection.

Model drawing with a pirate theme

A few Saturdays ago the SketchSession 2.0 group had organised another model drawing session with a pirate theme. I seem to be improving my model drawing and using of curved lines. My work is becoming less angular and more dynamic. 

All done with a simple mechanical pencil, Steadler fineliners and a Dusky Pink marker. For the ink heavier ones I used a Pentel Pocketbrush.

Inktober?

This was an image that formed in my head a while a go. It just took some time to find its way onto paper as an experiment in inking and coloring. It is all done with Steadler fineliners and my Pentel Pocketbrush pen and in Copic markers and Promarker for colour. Consider it my unofficial start of Inktober.

Instead of the 24hour comic challenge I will do an Inktober challenge this month and post inked images. I need to practice with that Pentel Pocketbrush pen. You can find out more about Inktober here:

National Geographic Calendar

When I am feeling uninspired, I just draw/sketch the beautiful or inspiring photographs I have saved from my National Geographic tear calendar. There's some awesome stuff in there.

Ohw.. yeah, that last page is not from the calendar. These are just some sketches and ideas for a possible comic.

So much for summer recess..

Hello everyone! I'm back to updating this blog regularly. And here is some stuff to start of with:

I visited the Antwerp Zoo and 'took some pictures'

So I did some model drawing

And we're back! I've right in the graduation process of my Masters. So that why I have not updated in a while. But the good news is, is that I found a cool model drawing group: Schets Sessie 2.0!
